Author’s Note: This chapter was a lot. I remember specifically this point being when the constant grinding through pages for twice a week updates in 2024 finally caught up to me. I was going through several major life crises at the same time and it really held to the themes of The Chariot card in tarot. So it’s a turning point in many, many ways; my own test of character on if I could get through the monotony of this process, Pan’s character development, Unfortunate as a story, Unfortunate as it sets the stage for As Above, and also my art being pushed to do a lot of things I had never attempted before.
It has really been something amazing to look back at this story now that it’s officially more than a year since I first put it out. And I’m seeing how far I’ve come in all of the ways that this chapter tested.
